On 13th June, Israeli Ambassador to Latvia Lironne Bar-Sadé had arrived at Liepaja University on a farewell visit. Rector of Liepaja University Dace Markus met with the ambassador and the dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Social work Linda Pavītola and former dean Ilze Mikelsone.
Two sides discussed the cooperation developed over the years and agreed that work would continue through cooperation between two countries in different programmes for teachers exchange. They remembered those works and guest lecturers who had become good partners of Liepaja University with support of the ambassador during the period of her activities in Latvia. It is worth mentioning Mali Danino's book issued in Latvian “Trenē savu bērnu panākumiem” (Train your kids for success), as well as the work of the guest lecturer Ronnie Orena, Professor of the Israeli Academy of Arts and Design, with students from Liepaja University.
