LiepU hosts Professor from the USA

She has been a Metropolitan State University faculty member for the last nine years, teaching courses relative to human resources management and business. What is important, that Kathleen Lafferty has 25 years of significant broad professional experience in human resources and organizational development, working in large and small businesses and non-profits, domestic and international, as well as multi-state locations. She performed a broad range of activities in human resources including strategic planning and delivery, training, organizational development, dealing with mergers and acquisitions, change management, employee relations, conflict management, diversity initiatives, performance management, training delivery, and HR policies and programs, with supervisors, managers and senior executives. "As a teacher, I am poised and competent with demonstrated ability to effectively transcend cultural differences. I see the best in all my students and strive to affirm their skills and competencies and support the development of confidence in their decision-making and problem solving skills. I am an optimist and see the best in any opportunity. I like to build positive classroom and educational experiences for all students."

This semester Professor mainly will work with Liepaja University Business management students as well as she will be involved in several activities organized by Kurzeme Business Incubator.
