On 7th and 8th November two professors and artists – Magdalena Fokt and Alexander Slon from University of Social Sciences - University of SAN (Społeczna Akademia Nauk Warszawa) gave lectures and made workshops with Liepaja University design and media arts students. Alexander Slon in his lecture “Art and Sustainability: selected artistic proposals and their ideological backgrounds” gave insight of philosophical retrospective on art and artists, but Magdalena Fokt in her lecture and workshop “Art instead of a pill - therapeutic aspect of art” together with students made huge collage.
This was second Erasmus+ teaching mobility visit from SAN since Erasmus+ institutional agreement was concluded. In September the dean of Art faculty Maria Piatek was the first who came to LiepU for teaching mobility. There are more future cooperation plans for academic staff. We encourage also students to choose SAN for Erasmus study mobility in IT, design and media fields.
