Erasmus+ students teach at Liepaja Secondary School No15

In October Liepaja University incoming Erasmus+ students: Timea Marusinova (Slovakia), Dušan Tarkovsky (Czech Republic), Blanca Diaz Montojo (Spain), Rachel Barbaza (France), Murat Gundogdu (Turkey) and Elifnaz Karaca were having an internship in Oskars Kaplaks Liepaja Secondary School No 15.

The purpose of the practice was to enable students to develop the professional competence of the teacher of the selected qualification subject. The tasks of the practice were to understand the role of subjects in the learning process, as well as its pedagogical objectives, progress, planning and management for pupils of different ages.

Dušan Tarkovsky is a future mathematics and physics teacher; he chose to run maths and physics lessons to high school level students.

Timea, Blanca and Murat led foreign language lessons for pupils from different classes. A very interesting experience for pupils was the French lessons led by future teacher Rachel, encouraging and motivating them to learn French also in the future. Elifnaz ran music lessons to the 2nd and 3rd year school students.

Internships highlighted particular aspects of the cooperation, both between students and cooperation with pupils and subject teachers-mentors.
