LiepU researchers develop the device for Danish enterpreneurs

Researchers from Liepaja University work in an international project and as the result of it  the entrepreneurs from Denmark will receive the portable gas analysis equipment they need.

29 September Liepaja University hosted project's EUROSTAR 2 “Ultra Portable Continious Emission Monitoring System (UP-CEMS)” partners from Denmark –Dansk Fundamental Metrologi (DFM) Leading Researcher Jan Conrad Petersen and Carsten Hansen, CEO / Owner of Instrumatic EMI A/S. Director of the Institute of Science and Innovative Technologies Uldis Žaimis, Researcher Sintija Ozoliņa and LTD Inpass Representative Raivis Ekšteins had a meeting with guests. 

Uldis Žaimis explains: "The project is developing a portable gas analysis device that will enable differentiated taxation to be applied in maritime transport in the future, depending on the atmospheric pollution caused by the ship. At Liepaja University there are heat and vibration tests for the device, analysis of the quality of the data to be read and mathematical modelling of the heat transfer".
