LiepU hosts Senior Researcher from Ukraine

From 1st June till 31 August 2022 Liepaja University hosts Olena Khartman, Senior Researcher at Laboratory of Preschooler Psychology of the G.S.Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine. 

Olena Khartman since June 2022 is doing a joint research: "Interrelations Between the Formation of Values and Worldview: the Case of Pre-School Children" with Liepaja University Institute of Educational Sciences. The aim of the research is to explore the essence of the formation of values for the development of worldviews of preschool age children, their affective factors. Furthermore, the project aims at synthesizing the experience of pre-school education professionals in the implementation of value education in the context of Latvia. The key purpose of the project is to conduct a survey applying focus group discussion with pre-school education experts, an interview «Factors Impacting Child's Awareness of Socially Significant Values» as the data collection methods.  The research is a part of the broader research conducted in the Ukraine aiming to bridge the gap in the understanding of the issues under investigation.

The stay of Olena Khartman at Liepaja University is fully funded by Latvian state scholarship.
