Today Liepaja University authorities were hosting H.E. Martin Michelet - Ambassador of Switzerland in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. Ambassador had a meeting with LiepU Rector Dace Markus, Vice Rector for Studies Mara Zeltina and Chief Specialist Erika Lauberga.
Guests were speaking about structural changes of the universities in Latvia, including LiepU, Swiss experiences of the higher education management as well as about the possibility of Swizerland to join Erasmus programme again.
LiepU has hosted guest professors from Swizerland before and would gladly host again. H.E. Martin Michelet expressed his happiness that Liepāja won the title of European Capital of Culture 2027.
