LiepU lecturer is giving lectures in Mexico under Erasmus+ exchange

Liepaja University English language lecturer Indra Kalniņa is currently visiting our partner university - the University of Veracruz (VU) in Mexico, Veracruz city, under the Erasmus+ teaching mobility. During this week the lecturer is giving lectures in English about the Social classes in the UK, Bristish Culture and the dialects and accents of the EL, as well as will be having several meetings with directors of VU Language Centers, School of Languages, Research Institute of Linguistics and Literature and International Mobility Office.

Regarding the first impressions in this country and the university, the lecturer tells: "This is already the second day when I am discovering Mexico life. When I arrived in Veracruz, I enjoyed the people's skill to be happy. In Mexico, everything happens loudly and freely, without disturbing each other at the same time. At the University of Verakruz, I have met specialists from the International Mobility Office and got to know the structure of their university, as well as the history of Veracruz district, which is one of the oldest in Mexico, and its past has begun with the traditions of Olmec Indians."

Wishing good luck and successful teaching to our teacher!

The Erasmus+ mobility is financially supported by the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility project KA107 (No 2020-1-LV01-KA107-077408).
