On Friday 4th February Liepaja University Vice Rector for Studies Māra Zeltiņa hosted the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Latvia H.E. Elnur Sultanov.
Liepaja University representatives introduced the Ambassador with the study programs, scientific research institutes, experience in hosting full time international students and cooperation with the partner universities in Azerbaijan - Azerbaijan University and Azerbaijan University of Economics.
H.E. Elnur Sultanov showed an interest in our country, city and the university and offered to create a cooperation plan. Ambassador informed that he will try to help to promote LiepU study directions in Azerbaijan and is open to the cooperation proposals from the side of LiepU.
LiepU Vice Rector for Studies Māra Zeltiņa accented that Liepaja University now is the process to change the management system of the higher education in Latvia, but is ready to cooperate with Azerbaijan in the field of higher education.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Latvia H.E. Elnur Sultanov presented to LiepU a collection of poems of great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi.
