On 24 January LiepU Director of the bachelor programme "Speech Therapy" Lect. Gundega Tomele and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Baiba Trinite as well us Senior Specialist at International Relations Department Erika Lauberga visited recently set up the Education Adacemy of Vytautas Magnus University.
The main objective of the visit was to find out the cooperation possibilities with bachelor and master level Speech therapy study programmes offered at VMU. Chancellor Prof. Dr. Lina Kaminskiene, Vice-Chancellor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ilona Tanzegolskiene gave a general presentation about the Education Aacdemy and its new structure.
Presentation of the bachelor study programme: "Special Educational Support (Speech and Language Therapy)" by coordinators Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lina Milteniene and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daiva Kairiene followed. The last presentation was given about the joint master study programme: "Speech and Language Therapy" by the Chair of the programme group Prof. Dr. Stefanija Ališauskiene.
Both parts agreed to accept Speech therapy bachelor level students as Erasmus+ interns at LiepU / VMU; encourage the academic staff exchanges in the field of speech therapy / special education. The idea to organize the BIP - Blended Intensive Programme in one of the partner HEIs also were discussed.
We already informed that on October 2021, Liepaja University Rector Dace Markus, Vice Rector for Science Ieva Ozola and Dean of Faculty of Pedagogy and Social work Linda Pavitola visited Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) and had meetings with VMU administration.
