Liepaja University International relations department on 17th January visited Klaipeda University in Lithuania to strengthen the cooperation with different faculties and departments.
LiepU International relations department: Patriks Morevs, Ērika Lauberga, Sintija Leigute, Gundega Bethere and lecturer Maksims Žigunovs in the first meeting at Klaipeda University had a chance to meet with the Dean of the Faculty of Marine Technologies and Natural Sciences Prof. Dr. Viktoras Senčila and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dalia Baziuke. Both sides agreed on regular academic staff exchanges in order to give lectures to both HEIs students and student internship exchanges at Liepaja and Klaipeda.
Next meeting was with the representatives of the Health Research and Innovation Science Center in order to agree about LiepU Social Work bachelor level students' internship placements in Klaipeda.
Last meeting was with the vice dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Dr Simona Grigaliuniene in order to find out the international projects, conferences to have a joint cooperation in the future.
LiepU and Klaipeda University has an Erasmus+ institutional agreement in the following fields:
- Baltic languages and philology
- Teacher training
- Social worker
- Environmental engineering
- Business management
- IT / computer sciences.
