On 11th January 2022 Ambassador of Israel in Latvia H.E. Sharon Rappaport Palgi visited Liepaja University and had a meeting with the Dean of Faculty of Pedagogy and Social Work Linda Pavītola and Director of Institute Educational Sciences Dina Bethere.
Senior Specialist at International Relations department Ērika Lauberga and International Coordinator Sintija Leigute introduced guests with Liepaja University study programs and international cooperation, including - cooperation with HEIs in Israel: David Yellin Academic College of Education and Levinsky College of Education.
Ambassador stressed on the special atmosphere at Liepaja, also spoke about possibilities to invite guest lecturers at LiepU; she showed an interest in early child's with special needs education, where she sees a potential in further cooperation with LiepU in the field of inclusive education. Attendees were also discussing about teacher training at LiepU and the project “Mācītspēks”.
