USA and South Africa have been presented during the last cultural exchange evening

On November 25 the cultural exchage evening - educative lesson was held at Liepaja University. Thanks to this event series, international students of our university are getting together to share and learn about each others' cultures.

During the educative lesson, which was the fourth time we came together in this semester, South African student from the University of KwaZulu-Natal who has arrived at LiepU in the frame of Erasmus+ porgram and three Fulbright program's Teaching Assistants from the USA living at Liepaja shared interesting information about their countries. South African student presented information about his country from A to Z. He especially provided a visual treat with his native dress that surprised all of us. The American teachers prepared interesting presentations for us about the states they come from: Sauth Carolina, Maryland and New York.

After the presentations, the students talked to each other about their knowledge of two different continents and enjoyed the meals that were prepared for them. Once again, we achieved the purpose of our event, cultural interaction and getting to know each other.

During this semester, most of LiepU incoming Erasmus+ exchange students participated in our cultural activities. Only few countries are left; India and Cyprus will be presented in the next cultural exchange event.

Note: The next cultural exchange event will be held at the university or remotely - depending on the security measures in Latvia.
