Study process at Liepaja University from October 21 (Rector's order)

Due to the announcement of the “lockdown” in the country, from Thursday, October 21 to November 15, the study process at Liepaja University takes place remotely using Ms Teams platform.

Heads of departments, deans of faculties and teaching staff ensure the implementation of study courses remotely. Also the implementation of adult professional further education, professional development and adult non-formal education programmes will be held remotely.

- Alll public events in presence are cancelled and prohibited;

- Exchange on student/staff mobilities and working trips abroad are allowed, except for in the territory of Latvia.

LiepU is not offering services (issuing statements, library’s services, etc.) on-site.

LiepU Library will be closed till 15.11.2021.

LiepU buildings for visitors are closed.

For the next 4 weeks, from 21.10.2021 until 15.11.2021 there are new restrictions in place:

- Curfew: from 20.00 to 5.00 please do stay at home! Also any private and/or public gatherings are currently not allowed!

- Only grocery stores, pharmacies will remain open until 19.00. All other stores will be closed.

- Only members of the same household or a maximum of 2 people from different households can drive together in the same car.

- Cafes and restaurants will only work for take-away.

Also, if you have not yet got vaccinated, please do so! The vaccine is free and available to every resident of Latvia with temporary and permanent residence permits. Register to get a vaccine on www.manavakcina.lv
