As we do every semester, we continue our cultural exchange evening activities also in this study year, luckily physically at Liepaja University. The incoming Erasmus+ exchange students from France: West Catolic University, University of Western Brittany and Russian federation: Chechen State Pedagogical University gave information about the unknown about their countries, their cultures, food and more. Thanks to the presentations they made about their countries, they allowed us to learn new information about both cultures.
We learned about Chechnya, which is located in the eastern part of the North Caucasus and France, which is located in Western Europe. In the presentations students shared information about their countries and particular regions they come from. After the presentations, we tasted crepes and there was cheese degustation from the French cuisine. Chechen students served us "Jijig galnash". We closed the evening with traditional food tastings and conversations between the attendees.
Everyone is invited to learn new and interesting information about Turkey and Italy in the next Cultural Exchange Evening on September 29 at 18:00 PM by Latvian time (16:00 PM UTC time) and about Lithuania and Poland on 13 October 18:00 PM by Latvian time.
