Last Friday LiepU representatives of International Relations Office had a pleasure to visit the University of Economics - Varna in Bulgaria (Varna city) on Erasmus+ exchange staff mobility, which is LiepU partneruniversity for many years.
We had very productive meetings with the International Relations Office colleagues, IT lecturer Radka Nacheva, who was recently working at LiepU as a guest lecturer, and with the Director of Public Relations and Marketing Vladimir Zhechev. We discussed the development of common student and academic staff exchanges within the Erasmus+ programme in the future, the ideas about a double degree programme in the field of Business and a double degree programme in the field of Master Information Technology for both university students, as well as the lecturer staff visits of Radka Nacheva and Vladimir Zhechev at Liepaja University and via versus in the soonest time.
We all agreed that we have to pave the way to more projects and more opportunities!
University of Economics - Varna is a public university focused on studies in the field of economics with long history and its own traditions. It is the oldest university for economic sciences in Varna region and the second one in Bulgaria. There are over 6000 students at UE-Varna, including foreign students in four faculties (Finance and Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Management), Language Department and College of Tourism.
Currently LiepU has Erasmus+ institutional agreement with this university in the fields of Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Business and Organization Management, Management Sciences and Social Work.
Therefore LiepU students and academic staff is kindly invited to actively apply for the Erasmus exchange to this university in this upcoming Autumn semester 2021/2022.
After this visit we are now convinced that Varna is one of the best student cities which is located a 10 minute away from the Black Sea.
