Regarding the working regime and organization of the study process
Based on the rules of the Cabinet Regulation No 655 of the 6th November 2020 “Regarding Declaration of the Emergency Situation” and rules No 360 of the 9th June 2020 “Epidemiological Safety Measures for the Containment of the Spread of COVID-19 Infection”, LiepU is establishing these epidemiological safety measures and restrictions in the period from 3rd December 2020 until 11th January 2021:
1. To DETERMINE that
- LiepU is closed for visitors (exception case see in the Clause 4.2.);
- The acquisition of the higher education study programmes are held remotely;
- The programmes of adult professional further education, professional development and adult non-formal education are being held remotely;
- all public events in presence are cancelled and prohibited (conferences, seminars, meetings and other events);
- previously confirmed, but not yet happened business trips at LiepU are cancelled, as well as it is prohibited to confirm new business trips or work trips to employees.
2. To ASSIGN to

3. heads of departments, including directors of scientific research institutes, to plan and ensure work remotely, providing continuous work of departments and timely performance of functions.
4. if the specificity of the work does not allow and/or the continuity of work can not be carried out remotely in their place of residence, when staying in the premises of LiepU to wear mouth and nose covers, to observe a two meter distance between any people and other recommendations of the Disease Prevention and Control Center for limiting Covid-19 infection (https://www.spkc.gov.lv/lv/aktualitates-par-covid-19) and LiepU procedures “Procedures for the containment of the spread of Covid-19 in Liepaja University” (https://www.liepu.lv/en/61/documents-and-regulations);
5. during the remote work to look the working time schedule of LiepU departments of 07.12.2020. and/or phone numbers on LiepU website.
3. To DETERMINE that where the specificity of the work does not allow and/or the continuity of work can not be carried out remotely at their place of residence, the study building for staff:
In Lielā street 14, Liepaja:
- from 21st until 22nd December 2020 and from 28th until 29th December 2020 is open from 9:00 am until 16:00 pm;
- from 23rd until 27th December 2020 and from 30th December 2020 until 3rd January 2021 is closed;
- from 4th January until 8th January 2021 and 11th January 2021 is open from 9:00 am until 16:00 pm;
- from 9th until 10th January 2021 is closed;
In Kūrmāja prospect 20, Liepaja:
from 21st December 2020 until 3rd January 2021 is closed;
- from 4th January until 8th January 2021 and 11th January 2021 is open from 9:00 am until 16:00 pm;
- from 9th until 10th January 2021 is closed.
The entrance in buildings for staff is allowed by presenting a valid LiepU card. LiepU administrators carry out visual control - whether the persons entering the buildings use mouth and nose cover.
4. To DETERMINE that LiepU library:
- is closed for visitors;
- the book delivery is permitted only using a book-drop box in the lobby, where those will be quarantined for at least one day according to the working time of LiepU buildings and the epidemiological safety measures for the distribution of Covid-19.
5. Further academic process at LiepU can be changed and planned according to the showings of the epidemiological state and public safety requirements.
