Yesterday meeting in non-formal atmosphere in the Nature House and observing all the safety measures, the Rector of Liepaja University Dace Markus and the Head of the Education Board of Liepaja City Municipality Kristine Niedre-Lathere signed a Partnership agreement regarding the realization of planned events in the Nature House, as well as in the co-creation hall in Autoru street, within the European Economic Area and Norway (EEA/N) grant project “Development of the Innovation Center in the city of Liepaja”.
In the project the Faculty of Science and Engineering of Liepaja University in cooperation with ZIIC (Liepaja Science and Education Innovation Center) representatives will create 5 education programmes for children and youth in the fields of mathematics, technologies, engineering sciences and environmental sciences, as well as it is planned to create a non-formal education programme for teachers. Whereas, the Faculty of Humanities and Arts will be responsible for digital installations and exhibits, which will be displayed at the soonest time in the Nature House.
By signing the agreement, both parties were optimistically disposed, wished each other good luck and successful cooperation.
The project will be implemented by the municipality of Liepaja city in close cooperation between involved partners in the project - Trondheim Science Center, Jærmuseet regional museum in Norway and Liepaja University, as well as other science and innovation centers in Latvia.
