In the 1st Cultural Exchange Evening countries from 2 continents were represented

As this semester starts we are extremely happy to continue to organize the cultural exchange evenings or as previously known ''International Tuesday''. It is a great way for the students to express their views on life, present their homeland and most importantly teach us about their culture, it is a great way to learn about a country. The presentations themselves are a way to see how natives see their homeland, it is completely different to reading about it online or in a book, it is a true, real life expression of oneself and thus their country.

To start off the semester we saw presentations from Slovenia and Algeria, one from Europe, the other from Africa, so the presentations were very different. It is always important for us to find countries that will give a good contrast in life across the planet, as Slovenia is a relatively small country that was a part of Yugoslavia and Algeria is comparatively enormous and it's roots date back to the beginning of humanity; we got a great perspective on culture in the two countries and their life and views on the world.
