From 27 January 2020 to 31 January 2020, Liepaja University International Project Coordinator Marija Šnaidere, Chief Specialist of International Realations Department Patriks Morevs and Lecturer at Faculty of Science and Engineering Uldis Žaimis visited the Darmstadt City Council in Darmstadt, Germany to participate in the annual education and technology fair.
The purpose of the trip was to introduce German students to Liepaja University and to attract as many new students from different German cities as possible to study at our university. During the trip, LiepU colleagues managed to find partners from Turkey, Bursa University and in the near future, we are planning to sign the Erasmus+ partnership agreement, which will allow students from Turkey to go on study or internship mobility with Liepaja University. In turn, our students will also be able to go to Bursa for study or practice mobility.
Visit to Darmstadt allowed to find contacts with other universities, such as Darmstadt University of Technology and the University of Frankfurt in mechatronics, engineering and other fields. During this visit, we managed to strengthen our relationship and in the future, we will cooperate in the exchange of students and teachers.
Darmstadt is a partner municipality to Liepaja city council and each year participation in this fair for Liepaja University is free of charge.
