Liepaja University lecturers - French language Teacher Inga Bliska and Spanish language teacher Agata Babina went on an Erasmus+ teaching mobility to University of Lorraine in Metz city, France.
Agata Babina was giving lectures to bachelor IT students, discovering the vocabulary of IT in Spanish language and also lectures to Business management students and university staff members with the insight in creative writing and discovering contemporary Flash fiction stories.
In the first lecture Inga Bliska was offering the presentation about culture aspects in Latvia, familiarizing with Latvian alphabet, pointing out the national values and achievements in our culture and finding culture-historical links with France. Other lectures were interactive, where IT bachelor students could mutually cooperate in a group, make conversation scenarios and discover their personal potential.
Inga Bliska says: “The benefits of this teaching mobility are personal contacts for further cooperation, meetings with Erasmus students who will come to our higher education in the upcoming semester, as well as potential students who are planning to travel in the future and may come to LiepU. The biggest challenge in leading student groups in France was the high number of students because I worked in 4 groups, where was each around 30 students. I encourage colleagues who are considering participating in Erasmus + teaching mobility to go both together, if any, because mutual discussions is also of great added value to the feasibility of new projects."
Each academic year many Liepaja University professors have a chance to give lectures to LiepU partner insitutions students abroad with the financial support of European Comission program Erasmus+.
