During these exhibitions LiepU representatives introduced Azerbaijan, Ukraine and other country students with LiepU  study offer for full-time foreign students in Bachelor and Master studies in English, met existing and new partners on cooperation and discussed future cooperation in implementing joint projects in higher education.

As it is known, for foreign students LiepU offers full-time studies in Bachelor study programs as "Information Technology", "Computer Science" and "European Language and Culture Studies", as well as in Master study programs, such as "Information Technology","Ecotechnologies", "New Media Art" and "General Education Teacher".

"Regarding that the student number in LiepU is growing year by year (now there are studying from 13 different countries, including also students from Azerbaijan and Ukraine), it is important to strengthen and expand co-operation also in these countries. We have already joint cooperation in various projects with these countries, and more and more often there is a greater students’ interest for studies especially in these LiepU offered study programmes," says Foreign Affairs Department.

In addition to the exhibitions, the International Coordinator of International Office Sintija Leigute went on an annual seminar trip to five Ukrainian cities (Kharkiv, Odessa, Nikolayev, Vinnytsia, Mukachevo), where, together with representatives from the University of Latvia and Turiba University, intensively introduced potential students, their parents and other interested people about study opportunities in each of their universities. Similarly, an educational seminar was held at the Embassy of Latvia in Ukraine, where was possible to meet the Ambassador of Latvia in Ukraine Juris Poikans.

"In general, there is a good impression that Latvian education in Ukraine now is a little more known and that interested students come up with specific questions about the study programs they are interested in. It is needed to continue to ensure that education at Liepaja University is also appreciated beyond the borders of Europe," admits Sintija Leigute.
